It is where our journey started

In the summer of 2022, we met Li, a devoted farmer who has dedicated his life to sustainable, organic farming. Seeing his passion and the exceptional quality of his ingredients, we realized that many farmers like him face challenges in bringing their products to a wider audience. Inspired by his story, we set out to create a brand that promotes health and also uplifts farmers like Li—those committed to ethical, organic practices and deserving of recognition.

Thus, Sian Te 善茶 was born. 善 (Siān) and 茶 (Tê) are the Taiwanese pronunciations of these characters, with Siān meaning goodness, kindness, and benefits, and Tê representing tea. Our name reflects our mission: to create premium herbal teas and tea blends that are good for health, kind to the environment, and beneficial to society.

Calling Canada home for almost a decade, Sandy has deepened her connection to family and heritage through Sian Te. Now, she’s eager to share Sian Te’s natural, premium flavors with tea lovers across North America.
